Description: Flushing Meadows Corona Park Soccer Fields are located at the east end of the park close to College Point Blvd and the Van Wyck Expressway. The soccer fields are numbered 1 to 8 (see map in the photo section). Fields 1-7 are located around Industry Pond, Field 8 is located in the Al Oerter Soccer Park next to Flushing Meadows Park. Fields 4 and 6 are grass fields. Fields 1,2,3,5,7 and 8 are synthetic turf fields.
Flushing Meadows Park is world famous and known as the home of the 1939 and 1964 Worlds Fairs. The park spans more than 1250 acres and offers many family attractions which include: a zoo, two museums, indoor skating rink, boating, fishing, playgrounds and the world famous Unisphere. Flushing Meadows Athletic Fields are well used and attract large crowds of spectators for games and tournaments. The most popular sports played at the park are soccer, baseball, football, softball and cricket.
